The gift, which cost half a year's worth of her father's salary, became the beginning of Janita's life calling.
Janita taught herself how to groom dogs and opened the first pet supply store in Lithuania.
The KIKA brand was established in 1991, and in 1994, the "Tauro Kennel" cattery/kennel was founded, later earning the highest global recognition.
On November 11, the first pet supply store opened at 56 A. Mickevičius Street.

"Tauro Kennel" was three times recognized as the best kennel in the world, and Janita became the best Pomeranian breeder in the USA in 2024 and 2025.
