Some stories begin with a business idea. Tauro Kennel's story began with one dog.

From the curiosity to understand more. From the desire to learn not only about the breed, but also what determines an animal's health, temperament, coat quality, and long-term well-being.
These very questions, more than three decades ago, marked the beginning of a journey that today has made Tauro Kennel one of the most renowned kennels in the world.
Along with the kennel, experience also grew.
Every new litter, every show, every success, and every mistake became another lesson. Gradually, not only the kennel but also a clear philosophy took shape – that long-term results are not created by accidental success, but by consistent work, patience, and respect for every animal.
Today, Tauro Kennel is more than just a place where dogs are bred.
This is a philosophy developed over thirty years, based on responsible breeding, respect for each animal, and the belief that long-term results are created not by isolated solutions, but by consistency, knowledge, and daily work.
Tauro Kennel was never just a place where puppies were born for me. From the very beginning, I wanted to create a kennel where the most important thing was not quantity, but each individual dog – its health, character, well-being, and life alongside humans.
It's important to me not only how a dog looks in the show ring. Equally important is how it feels every day, whether it trusts people, whether it has a stable temperament, and whether it can live a full, loved life in a family.
Therefore, each new generation begins with numerous responsible decisions. We value genetics, health history, temperament, breed characteristics, and what we pass on to future generations. Every choice must have meaning not only today but also many years from now.
Throughout my years of work, I have come to understand that the true result of breeding is not measured solely by titles. It is revealed in a healthy, stable, confident, and loved dog.
This is precisely why every decision at Tauro Kennel begins not with the ambition to win, but with responsibility for life.

World Dog Show (WDS) results:
In 2019, in Shanghai, Tauro Kennel ranked among the top four kennels in the world. In 2023, in Geneva, it was recognized as the world’s best Bichon Frise kennel, and in 2025, in Helsinki, it achieved this top honor with Pomeranians. In 2026, in Bologna, Tauro Kennel took second place among the world's best kennels.
A kennel twice recognized as the best in the world, consistently ranking among the world's top kennels since 2019. In 2025, it was awarded the "Top 1" title in Lithuania for lifetime achievement.
In 2024 and 2025, Janita was recognized as the best Pomeranian breeder in the USA, and the dogs she bred won the titles for the best Pomeranians in the USA in both years.
These are important assessments. But they are not the end of the story – they only confirm the direction.
In the show ring, the spectator sees only a brief, refined moment – a dog's confident movement, impeccable coat condition, and a silent mutual understanding between the dog and handler. However, the work crowned by these few minutes begins much earlier – with daily care, consistent preparation, and hundreds of small decisions that the spectator never sees.

Months of focused work with each puppy.
Proper nutrition, maintaining the condition of the coat and skin.
The ability to notice even the slightest changes.
Only then does the result that the judges see appear.
In Tauro Kennel's philosophy, the title itself was never the most important thing. The journey to it always was.
At Tauro Kennel, breeding never ends with the birth of a puppy or its departure to a new home. From that moment on, another no less important stage begins – a long-term relationship with the family and responsibility for how the dog will grow, feel, and live.
Therefore, new owners are not left alone. The kennel continues to share experience and advise on nutrition, coat care, behaviour, health, and show preparation.
This connection is not a formality. It is one of the most important parts of Tauro Kennel's culture – to be there not only when the puppy is born but also throughout its entire life.
Because the main goal is not to raise a champion.
The main goal is to raise a healthy, stable, and happy dog.
